The Annual conference aims to:

  • Facilitate high-level dialogue among trade promotion professionals, EU policymakers and opinion makers, academia representatives, think tanks and business leaders on how Europe can maintain stability and competitiveness amid geopolitical uncertainty, trade tensions, and regulatory shifts.
  • Explore the strategic role of the EU in shaping global trade relations, with a focus on new trade agreements, responses to global policy changes, and diversified market access.
  • Support SME internationalisation and competitiveness by addressing access to EU funding for innovation, AI adoption, and defence-related opportunities.
  • Strengthen cooperation within the European trade promotion network, exchanging experiences and strategies to adapt promotion models to a fast-changing trade environment.
  • Highlight concrete instruments and programmes supporting Europe’s twin transition, supply chain resilience, and strategic autonomy through trade.
